From Field Manager to Regional Director
“I was part of the Tricare implementation team when it was first introduced. Before that, the military’s care had never been managed in such a fashion,” Howard recalled. She rose from area field manager, overseeing a Florida office, to regional director responsible for seven states across the Southeast. Navigating town hall meetings where resistance to change was common gave her a working knowledge of how institutions actually function, rather than how they appear in organizational charts. That experience informed the culture she would later build at HX5.
Applying That Knowledge at HX5
Margarita Howard translated her government experience into a business model grounded in operational credibility.
